About Us

PRAYAS Special School is located at Dharampeth, Sarvodaya Ashram, Dhantoli and Nandanwan. It is a coeducational school, that provides Self development, social, communication, behavioral, and functional academic skills. It is especially setup for Children with Developmental Delay, Autism, Mental Retardation, ADHD, Slow Learners, Learning Disability, Cerebral Palsy, and for Multiple Disabilities.

MISSION

The mission of PRAYAS School is to help a large number of people affected by mental and other developmental disabilities to attain their maximum potential and to merge with the mainstream.

VISION

Educational tours have been planned for our children shortly. All the missions have been planned, keeping in mind to set up a perfect rehabilitation and residential center for these children in the forthcoming time.

Our Team

Our Team deals with children with special needs and their issues. Each team member has their area of work with these children to deal with their particular problems. Behavior therapist deals with behavioral issues, speech therapists work on speech and language intervention, occupational therapists deal with motor area and sensory issues, and special educators work on the overall development of these children. Yoga therapists work in the same direction to influence our children's nervous system and psychosomatic effect in curing infirmities. Rehabilitation Psychologists stress teamwork for every activity related to all three sections of society. Periodically the therapists are given counselling and training programs to enhance their working capabilities by the psychologist.
